So — been using this thing for maybe four months now and I keep coming back, so thought I'd chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me last week. I'm based in the UK, generally bet football and racing, nothing mad, for context.
How I found it was actually embarrassing — I couldn't ever work out what an e/w return actually was once you get five places instead of three. I'd just eyeball it and then be surprised. Now punch the numbers in before every slip, even a simple single bet.
The single bet calculator tool is the part I open most — type in stake and odds and you get returns straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn't matter. There's also the multiples — trebles returns, lucky 15s, a yankee, which is where I always lose track. Have a go yourself, it's over at bookies odds converter and there's no login wall, which I appreciated.
One thing that genuinely made a difference was the geekier tools. The implied probability calculator and it makes obvious what margin's baked in, plus a kelly tool — I use half kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool is handy too for when I'm splitting a race.
It's not perfect mind. Its interface feels very functional, let's say — not much flash, which honestly I don't mind but some will. On mobile it's usable although the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. There's no proper app, it's browser only — fine by me but worth saying.
Right, that's me. Doesn't cost anything, no ads shoved in your face, works. If you still works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saved me a fair few "wait, that's it?" moments. |
